Reflective Practice — materials for teacher reflection
Notebook: Investigation 9 – Task 1
Write a piece of material that also helps teachers to raise their awareness of their personal images of teaching, but using different means, for example, drawing, conversation or metaphors. The material should assist teachers in producing and then talking reflectively about these alternative forms of representing teachers' personal practical knowledge, connecting them to their everyday teaching work.
In Sample Materials 1 you looked at objects as a means of helping teachers link memories to their personal images of teaching.

Write a critical incident (150 – 200 words) based on your own teaching or training experience, or on an anecdote or problem you have heard about from a colleague. Possible topics include: teaching grammar, vocabulary or skills lessons, classroom management, dealing with individual students, teachers' workload, relationships with colleagues. You don't need to provide a suggested solution to your critical incident.
